Child Development Center

The Project's mandate is to recruit and care for children from the neediest of the needy families within the Project’s jurisdiction areas with the aim of enhancing the welfare of those children, normally referred to as “Beneficiaries”. The Project does that by creating conducive environments and providing the necessary resources for the beneficiaries, parents, caregivers and guardians.

The Centre was started in January 2006 through and under the support of Compassion International Kenya with 172 children after a downsizing from KE353 A.N.G.C Ndumberi Child Development Centre. After comprehensive needs assessment by PCEA Kangoya Church the Project has currently recruited 304 children from the surrounding areas which include Kangoya, Kiambu town, Ngegu, Turitu, Ting’ang’a, Karunga, and Ndumberi areas. The children are from the needy of the neediest families in the society and their ages range from 3yrs to 22yrs. Some of the recruited beneficiaries have successfully graduated from the Centre and exited after attaining 22yrs.
